Proven strategic and technical cyber security knowledge
Welcome to Pionen
Borrowing the name from Pionen data centre, burrowed beneath 40 metres of granite in the White Mountains, Stockholm, we provide the public sector with uncompromising cyber protection and resilience.
As increasingly sophisticated cyber threats emerge, public sector departments cannot afford to rely on legacy corporations, who fail to consider their cyber resilience a top priority. The public sector needs attentive and diligent cyber security providers, empathetic to department needs, pragmatic in approach and effective with solutions.
Pionen strives to be this cyber security provider.
Our experience, our people
With over 50 years of combined experience, our team knows that cyber resilience begins with outstanding client co-operation. We are an outward security provider, and want to know the intricacies of any public sector department we work with. This allows us to uncover discrepancies, find pressure points and fix problems.
Our team is client facing and champions co-operation with partners.
I am an accomplished Cyber Security Programme Manager and consultant with a track record delivering challenging transformation programmes and overhauling cyber security management, capability, and risk management practices.
I work with our customers and clients to ensure the smooth running of our contracts, with a mixture of service management activities and compliance.
Internally I head up our recruitment and resourcing activities to ensure we have one of the most highly skilled consulting firms in the UK.
With 25 years’ experience in Tech and Cyber recruitment, the ability to tap into my extensive network in this domain gives Pionen a competitive advantage in the prevailing market conditions.
I help large complex organisations deliver risk reducing, cutting edge security software solutions.
Being a solutions focused enterprise security architect is not always easy and we are a rare breed but improving security programmes is a marathon not a sprint. Having nearly two decades of technical security knowledge across banking and government I have decoded the way to deliver projects; embracing the governance process.
I want to help your project deliver value for your department, the tax payer and keep the UK safe.
Having spent many years within Technical Engineering roles, I have employed that experience to Security Consulting and Architecture across a wide range of Private, Public and Financial clients.
Coming from a security focused background, a mindset and approach was developed to breakdown the requirements and challenges faced by organisations, whether technical or security focused, to produce successful, consistent, and governed delivery output.
I am direct and focused when working with clients to ensure value in all deliverables.
I am an experienced IT professional who found his calling when asked to help a major UK Building Society achieve compliance in the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.
I like nothing better than understanding the security profile of the systems and processes used by a customer and then advising them on the changes needed to reduce the risks they currently have to internal and external actors.
Our credentials

Our values
Pionen are committed to providing attentive and diligent cyber security. We are empathetic to all public sector needs, and pragmatic in our approach.
We are determined to provide our clients with vigilant and effective solutions and will always convey our operations with clarity. These values run salient throughout our company ethos and are evident in all our past and current projects.
Cyber resilience begins with outstanding client co-operation. Organisations don’t just need to know what a project will entail, they need to know why and how these projects will be implemented. We will strive to deliver this logic, ensuring that our partners remain in the loop from start to finish.
We are empathetic to all public sector needs. Cyber resilience is essential to the function of an organisation, and every gap in your cyber security should be afforded equal attentiveness.
Our empathy bleeds into our attitudes towards social responsibility. Through tree planting initiatives and the encouragement of electric vehicle and renewable energy use, we are committed to working towards our net zero company targets.
We support work life balance initiatives, offering flexible working hours for staff and away days that consider the mental health needs of all associates. We encourage diversity through recruitment practices and remain active in our client communities through grassroots club sponsorship and volunteering.
Cyber threats are ever-evolving, therefore it is our job to ensure we are constantly adapting our approach when building resilience against them. This requires a pragmatic policy, malleable to different threats across the public sector.
In an age of increasingly pervasive threats, we will remain vigilant against incidents that could otherwise slip through the cracks of your defence.
Our solutions deliver cyber impact. Following the culmination of work with us, your organisation will be bulletproofed well into the future.
